Attributed to Juan Clara (Spain 1875 – 1958)
Featured in our upcoming September 21st auction are these spectacular pair of bronzes attributed to Juan Clara. Keeping with the motif of the majority of his works, these pieces portray the innocence and naivety of young children. Whether it is children climbing chairs, playing with pets, or playing with toys, Juana Clara always managed to capture what it is to be a young child again which is perhaps why his art has pervaded in the art world for the ages, with popularity ever growing amongst collectors.
DESCRIPTION: Bronzes attributed to Juan Clara. Features a golden and dark brown patina depicting two playful children, one stands timidly with a shoe in her hand while the other struggles mounting a chair. The figures are very realistic and detailed creating a playful atmosphere. Signed “Juan Clara”
