DESCRIPTION: A collage on paper by American artist, James Rizzi titled: “A Villiage For the World”. Features the Olympics Rings along the top and an array of fans and athletes competing in events. Finished in a three dimensional fashion and signed: “Rizzi ‘A Villiage for the World’ A/P 1996”

This piece was made to commemorate what was officially known as the Games of the XXVI Olympiad and unofficially as the Centennial Olympic Games. The host city was Atlanta, Georgia making the United States the host country.

We find it appropriate to present this featured item from our August 16th sale at 3:00pm ET, in congruence with the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil!

This piece was acquired from the estate of a prominent contemporary art collector in Miami Beach, Florida.
